And hereโ€™s mine.โฃ โ €โฃ Thereโ€™s more to me than meets the eye. People constantly tell me how lucky I am not to have loose skin and stretch marks. Well guess what, I do. Itโ€™s not nearly as severe as many people's, but itโ€™s still there. And it still haunts me. While losing the weight was one of the biggest things Iโ€™ve ever had to overcome in my life, Iโ€™m still left with a daily reminder of what once was. My lower body, especially my lower stomach and legs are the most affected. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ " On the left is probably the most embarrassing picture of me that I still allow on social media ๐Ÿ™ˆ Itโ€™s from July 2016 when I was at my heaviest (240ish). My family was visiting me and we went to a Yankee game. My boyfriend took this pic of me and my nieces and I was mortified when I saw it. I had no idea I took up that much space. I just donโ€™t remember being that big. Logically it makes sense but itโ€™s still a tough thing to confront, even when Iโ€™m just remembering it. Fast forward 20 months later and Iโ€™m down 108 lbs. and well I donโ€™t take up nearly as much space! 2 years & 30 pounds of fat!! (EAT ALL FOOD GROUPS) 1. ๐Ÿ’ฆDrink at least 2 Liters of water per day. I personally drink 4 liters. It helps to keep you full, increases your metabolism, clears your skin, and flushes your body of toxins. 2. ๐Ÿ“Eat healthy complex carbs. You need carbs to keep your body fueled, but eating candy and drinkin soda isnโ€™t going to help you. My main carbs throughout the day come from fruit, vegetables, rice, oatmeal, and bread. 3. ๐ŸณEating lots of protein per day. Personally, I eat around .8-1 gram per pound of body weight. So I eat 125-155 grams of protein per day. In college, I eat eggs, protein bars, protein shakes, turkey sandwiches, and chicken! Protein keeps me full and helps my muscles to grow. 4. ๐Ÿฅ‘Eat healthy fats!! They make you happy, increase metabolism, and regulate your hormones!! I get mine from eggs, avocados, peanut butter, and cheese!! 5. ๐Ÿ’ŠUsing supplements. If your diet is lacking protein I recommend purchasing protein powder! If you lack energy in the gym, pre-workout is super fun to take and tastes so good!! And if youโ€™re always sore and your muscles arenโ€™t recovering, take BCAAs!! 6. ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธStart lifting weights. Just like most girls I was afraid of doing this because I thought I would get โ€˜bulky.โ€™ Wrong. Lifting weights has helped me to lose 30 pounds. Weight sessions burn way more calories than walking on a treadmill. 7. ๐Ÿง Reduce your stress levels. Your body holds onto fat when youโ€™re stressed and lack sleep. Do something you enjoy (I read a book or watch Youtube) everyday to calm yourself. And make sure to get at least 8 hours of sleep per day. 8. ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿฆ๐ŸชTreat yourself!! Donโ€™t go so hard on yourself that youโ€™re miserable. I have pizza every week and chocolate everyday (Iโ€™m trying to gain weight though) Iโ€™ve gained over 20,000 of you since the last time I did my fat loss tips๐ŸคฏSo I thought Iโ€™d re-post them!!
