Share your favorite below👇 FOLLOW FOR MORE DAILY VEGAN RECIPES 😍 😍 RECIPE BELOW 👇👇 CRUST ▪️175g almond flour ▪️3 pitted Medjool dates ▪️3 Tbsp coconut oil ▪️1 Tbsp lemon juice ▪️1/2 tsp salt FILLING ▪️350g full fat coconut cream ▪️150g maple syrup or agave ▪️35g coconut oil, liquefied ▪️Zest of 2 large lemons ▪️1 tsp vanilla bean paste ▪️Juice of 2 large lemons ▪️1 tsp agar agar powder ▪️1/2 tsp turmeric powder METHOD FOR CRUST: 1.Preheat oven to 170 Celsius degrees. Place the almond flour, dates, coconut oil, lemon juice, and salt into a food processor. Pulse several times until the mixture resembles wet sand. 2.Press the crust mixture firmly into a lightly greased tart pan. Poke some holes into the bottom of the crust with a fork. 3.Bake for 8-10 minutes until fragrant. Remove and cool completely. 🌱 METHOD FOR FILLING 1. Place all the ingredients in a small saucepan, then add agar agar. Heat on medium heat and bring to a brief boil. Reduce heat and simmer for a couple of minutes or until it starts to thicken. 2. Vegan ‘Tuna’ Nigiri Sushi by @thetastyk 🍣 Recipe:⠀ Ingredients⠀ 200g sushi rice⠀ 3 ripe roma tomatoes⠀ ⠀ Marinade:⠀ 1 Tbsp soy/tamari sauce⠀ 1 tsp miso paste⠀ 1 Tbsp olive oil⠀ 1/2 tsp smoked paprika powder⠀ 1/2 tsp nori flakes (I simply grated nori sheets)⠀ 2 Tbsp hot water⠀ ⠀ Cream Cheese:⠀ 150g silken tofu⠀ 1/2 cup cashews⠀ 1 Tbsp white wine vinegar⠀ 1/2 tsp garlic powder⠀ 1/2 tsp salt & pepper⠀ ⠀ Method⠀ 1. Cook your sushi rice according to instructions on the package and let cool down.⠀ 2. Fill a small pot with water and bring to a boil. Take you tomatoes, place 4 small cuts into the skin on top and place into the pot. Let the cook for 40-60 seconds until the skin is slightly coming off. Immediately take off the heat, and drain and rinse with cold water to prevent further cooking.⠀ 3. Carefully peel off the skin and cut the tomatoes in halves, then again, and again. Use a melon scoop or spoon to scoop out the inner parts (seeds, liquids, etc.) until you have a simple slice of tomato left.⠀ 4. In a bowl combine all the marinade ingredients until smooth. Place the tomato pieces inside and stir to cover all pieces. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes (or overnight).⠀ 5. In the meantime, prepare the cream cheese. Place all ingredients into your high speed blender and blend until smooth. Transfer to a jar and store in the fridge.⠀ 6. Assemble your nigiri. Shape rice into nigiri form, place one tomato ‘tuna’ strip on top and pipe some cream cheese on. Enjoy with soy sauce!

Key points when working out: • Focus on the good posture • Attract the muscle you are working • Use moderate weights(!). You shouldn't cheat rep the whole workout, only the few last reps, if necessary. • Use correct weights. If you're going to do 12 reps, but you could do 15 or more, the load is too light. You should start to feel the burn at least at the 8th rep • Don't stop when you feel the burn, stop when you are done! 💪🏽 . Enjoy your workouts!

Coming at you guys for #workoutwednesday with a post about the importance of unilateral muscle work, demonstrated by a video of the leg killer that is Bulgarian Split Squats!! - Using the barbell back squat and the quadriceps as an example, most of the exercises that we perform such as this cause us to work the muscles on either side of the body at the same time. Whilst there is no disputing that the barbell back squat is king when it comes to mass building and strength gains for the quads, relying only on exercises such as this can lead to muscle imbalances. We always have one side of the body that is more dominant than the other, and when performing exercises that work both sides simultaneously the stronger muscle of the 2 will do more of the work to compensate for the weaker side. Over time this will lead to a bigger and bigger disparity between the 2, so we need to add in some supplementary unilateral work to ensure the both sides of the body receive the same attention, love, and growth! The Bulgarian split squat is an awesome unilateral leg exercise, so I stick it on the end of most of my leg sessions to ensure that none of my muscles begin to lag behind. Give it a shot next leg day! - All you really need is a bench, plyo box, or just any flat surface that is roughly knee height and you're good to go man! Bulgarian split squats test your balance a bit so you can always start out using just your body weight, and then progress the exercise when you're comfortable with the technique by adding dumbbells or kettlebells.
