Just did the #welding on my new #barbell. It's made for any kind of #upperbackworkout such as #bendoverrows or #sealrows. Grip width will be adjustable at 7 stages. The handles will get a #ballbearing for easy twisting. That way you can choose if #latissimusdorsi, #reardelts or #trapezius will be the #target. The center part beeing a square tube, it can also be used for #gripstrength #training. _________________________________ Das sich immer noch ein Grippevirus in meinen Nebenhöhlen eingenistet hat und mich vom Training abhält, habe ich heute beschlossen, den kleinen Arsch mit ein paar Schweißabgasen zu ärgern und habe die Einzelteile meines neuen #rowbar für alle Arten des Ruderns, vor allem Sealrows, zusammengeschweißt. Trotz windigem Wetter und Ärger mit dem Drahtvorschub hat es einigermaßen geklappt. Dieser Beitrag zeigt erstmal die Rohversion. Nächste Woche muss ich nochmal drüberschleifen und dann wird beschichtet. Die Griffweite ist 7fach verstellbar. Die Griffe werden natürlich nicht festgeschraubt, sondern über Axialkugellager drehbar gelagert. Auf diese Weise kann man zielgerichtet entscheiden, ob der Schwerpunkt auf Latissimus, Trapezius oder hintere Deltoiden liegen soll. Das Quadratrohr lässt sich zudem auch gut für #griffkraft Training einsetzen. When the goal is upper back (rear delts, teres etc) you actually want to really focus on driving your elbows and shoulder back. - - - Retraction is also a component, but don't try and retract until your arms are actually starting to get on the posterior side of your rib cage. Thats when you can actually pull the scapula together. Trying to retract too soon creates poor motor patterns and lots of stress on the shoulder joint. - - - Picking exercises that get lighter in the short position will make sure you can get full range without having to swing the weights, which is better for many but not all training goals. - - - #n1education #n1training #muscleintelligence #upperback #upperbackworkout

More upper back stuff! I’ll keep preaching the importance of upper back strength until everyone listens, or I die, whatever comes first 🤣. . A few benefits of a stronger upper back: • Increased shoulder stability; • Increased pressing and throwing ability. . Blackburns are far more challenging than they look! . Start in the Y position with thumbs up, keep the shoulder blades together. When you move the hands behind the back, rotate the hands so your palms are up. Then reset the shoulder blades together, before flipping the thumbs back up and returning to the Y position. This counts as 1 rep. . Hi 34 weeks 👋🏻🤰🏼 . Throughout my entire pregnancy there is one part of my body I consciously move every single day - my spine! . I started practicing back bends, bridges and other types alike in my yoga practice some years back, only I didn’t realize I was mainly moving from my lumbar spine and being the most flexible (and unstable) part did not feel good! Because of this my upper back had almost no movement! not good since our upper back is designed to move! Just ask @heatherwhitecoaching and she’ll laugh and confirm just how long I’ve been spending strengthening and mobilizing my thoracic spine (upper back!) in fact most people I work with have limited ROM in the T-spine which can create a host of problems AND to top it off; pregnancy only makes it worse mainly due to weight changes/distribution . I was first introduced to the Arching back when @jayjeremyinstagram was studying the Ido Portal method back in the days; so I jumped on the wagon, followed suit and have stuck with it since and I can say it’s done wonders for my spine, along with spinal waves and the Jefferson curl (which I’ll Demo soon) . If you’ve managed to watch till the end you’ll see me working on that hair flick game so bad 🤣

Static lunges with cable rows are a great way to engage the whole body!!! Be sure to keep pressure on the front heel and pull the cable with your upper back (lats, mid traps, and rhomboids), not the arm. Abdominal strengthening is an important

Functional Abdominal Training: Abdominal strengthening is an important component to any well rounded training program. But that doesn't mean the only way to train the core is by tacking on a bunch of deadbugs, planks, or crunches at the end of a workout. Since the core functions primarily to maintain the spine in a neutral position, performing movements that attempt to disrupt that alignment can greatly engage these muscles. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ All of these rowing movements are creating a torque on the body that requires an incredible amount of effort by the core to maintain neutral spinal alignment. When performing these rowing movements focus on maintaining a long torso, keeping the pelvis (or belt buckle) neutral, and squeezing the shoulder blade down and back during the row. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Try adding these movements in with some of your more typical horizontal pulling patterns.
