Lately I’ve been really trying to grow my quads, so I dedicate at least 1 leg day a week to torturing them. 😏🔥Give this bad boy a shot and let me know what you think! I started with leg extensions to really activate my quads and turn on that mind to muscle connection! We are in the season of indulgence of food and drink, and for me the fourth quarter is my busiest time of the year in retail just finishing my retail “Super Bowl Weekend”. I tend to work an even weirder schedule, extra hours with virtually no free time to spare. I missed a few things this weekend which I hated but since I need a paycheck I had to be the responsible adult. Despite all that I am still trying my best to stay consistent with my training because it’s important for me to enjoy the holidays with some balance and no guilt. I learned not to obsess with eating during this time but also remember it’s not a ticket to eat like an asshole for the next two months. I indulged a little and feel a little fluffier right now but I know how to reverse that. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR THANKGIVING MEAL!!! Use all those carbs you probably ate on Turkey Day to give you energy for a killer work out! 🙌🏼🦃Here I did a pull day, so back, biceps and rear delts. I’m starting to bulk up right to prepare for a cut in the summer so I’m eating A LOT more than I’m used to😬 I’ll be sure to keep you guys posted on my progress! BTW..... ground breaking announcement, I can officially do 2 pull ups!!! I’ll be posting a video soon so stay tuned! ❤️🍾 METHOD: 1️⃣ Assisted pull ups: 12, 10, 8, 6 I started with heavy resistance to warm up and then dropped the weight down with each set 2️⃣SUPERSET Bent over fly: 12x4 Keep a flat back and a tight core for this movement! Slow and controlled ALWAYS! Bent over row: 10x4 Go a little heavier here, but same cues as the fly; tight core and flat back! Also keep your elbows tight to your side. 3️⃣Single single double lat pull downs: 8-10x4 Keep your shoulders down and back and squeeeeeeeeze those lats! Such a good burn! 4️⃣SUPERSET Single arm row: 10-12 x4 each side Focus on taking this one slow and moving through the full range of motion Face pulls: 12x4 Elbows up and concentrate on that mind to muscle connection! 5️⃣ 3 point curls 10x10x10 x3 So wide grip, normal grip and then narrow grip performing each one 10 times then moving on to the next and completing 3 rounds of that. Ended last week with some pull-ups after my leg day and I’m starting to feel good about them again! In my first set, I managed to get 5 and while my form isn’t perfect, I felt great and not like I was struggling when I was doing them. I went to the gym this morning and hope to go a few more days this week and finish the last 2 weeks of my current split before work gets crazy. Guess what!!!⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ I passed my NASM CPT Exam 🙌🏼🍾 I studied for less than 2 weeks, but I definitely didn’t do much of anything else! 😂 I’m thrilled to start helping people accomplish their goals and make real change! To celebrate here’s a killer shoulder boulder workout with a sprinkle of triceps ✨💪🏼 WORKOUT: Per usual I started with some jump roping and a dynamic warm up 1️⃣Seated Arnold press 12-8x4 I started lighter and went up in weight. Keep your arms slightly in front of your shoulders to prevent injury and avoid hitting the weights together at the top! 2️⃣ SUPERSET A: Skull crushers 15x4 keep you arms over your shoulders and focus on activating the triceps to push upwards B: Lateral raises 12x4 I struggled with this one because I went a bit heavier than normal but just focused on slow and controlled! 3️⃣ SUPERSET A: Alternating static upright rows 12 x4 each arm, this one as well killed me 😂 B: Tricep extension 12x4 really squeeze the contraction at the top 4️⃣ SUPERSET A: Tricep push down 12x4 I picked up this leaning motion from @athlenex, Jeff is the master 🙏🏻 the added range of motion allows you to really activate those tris!
