The difference between then⬅️ ( 📷 #1 & #2) and now➡️ #3 & #4) So what’s the difference? Besides aesthetics? Am I stronger one year later? Absolutely! 💯👌🏻😃I can tell my core is stronger as I recently started back up with core work in my workouts. Does my skin still sag when planking? Yup! A little bit 🙃. Do I still have stretch marks? Yup! I even have some new ones probably from my skin stretching out post surgery. Am I more confident now than I was one year ago? Honestly I was pretty confident in my skin a year ago. BUT, Do I feel better in my skin now than I did then? Absolutely! You see I never “hated” my body before this surgery. After five years of living with diastases, sagging skin, hernia symptoms, and looking pregnant by days end, yes it was frustrating, but I embraced my body then just as I do now. We only get one body in this lifetime and five years ago I never knew that I would be having this surgery so I learned to accept where I was at and work with it the best I could. 😌 I’m blessed that I was able to go forward with surgery BUT, Surgery has not made me a “different” person. It HAS made me “better” in so many ways. I went into this reminding myself that I would still be the same person on the other end of it however. You see, Self-esteem comes from being comfortable with who you are and confident in your skin no matter how you look. 👀 surgery cannot fix a confidence issue. I still have my moments and believe me I’m a work in progress! There are still things about my body that are hard to embrace and this past year has been a roller Coaster of healing and finding my new norm. There are still things about myself that I pick apart from time to time just like every woman does. You must Embrace every step of this journey that you are on. Embrace your body short, tall, skinny, or overweight. We can only improve when we love ourselves every step of the way 💕

“I made a promise to myself & I don’t break those, not ever.”⁣ ⁣ ☝🏽My reason for sticking to my fitness journey for 4+ years DESPITE cross-country moves, pregnancy & deployment. ⁣ ⁣ I’m naturally a YES girl. I don’t like letting people down but I realized all those YESES meant something had to give—me. ⁣ ⁣ When you habitually cancel on yourself, you’ll never follow through.⁣ ⁣ Honoring the promises to yourself takes intentionality. It takes self-reflection to identify what really matters to you. ⁣ ⁣ If you want to lose weight be intentional with not only your words but your actions. Start with small goals like working out 2x a week. Then add more days. ⁣ Stop breaking promises to yourself. You don’t like flaky friends, so stop being flaky to YOU. ❤️🙌🏽

Tag a mom friend💕 While Pelvic Floor Muscle Training (PFMT) may use Kegels as part of the training, PFMT is not one in the same with Kegels. Kegels are widely seen as specific to the vagina and the rectum. They are one exercise with different progressions. Whereas PFMT is a total body integration of muscles and systems, training the muscles to fire in particular sequences, and to re-integrate our nervous system, respiratory system and alignment with the movement of muscles. Depending on the severity of your postpartum issues and the extent of your birth trauma, it may be wise to start with Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. Just know that the blanket "just do Kegels" prescription does not address a total body issue. Set up a quick 30 minute call if you would like to review your circumstances and determine what is the best course of action for your personal issues!

“It’ll melt off with breastfeeding” I hated when people told me this. Because you know what? It didn’t. And it also didn’t have to. I gained weight during my pregnancy (um, duh). But I also retained weight. It didn’t melt off with breastfeeding. It wasn’t “easy to lose once the baby was born”. It has taken months and months and even more months of consistent, hard friggin’ work. And I’m sorry if you’re a soon-to-be mama and maybe this is a little blunt. But it probably won’t “melt off with breastfeeding”. You’re gonna gain weight, AS YOU SHOULD! You’re gonna pop that baby out and probably lose a good chunk of it. But you’re still going to be left with a body that is all new. A body that isn’t what it was before baby. A body that isn’t what it was through your pregnancy. It is literally ALL NEW TERRITORY. I loved my body for a long time postpartum. For all the amazing, miraculous things it had done. I didn’t care that the weight wasn’t melting off as I breastfed. I didn’t care that 9 months in I was still heavier than I was pre baby. I didn’t care that I looked bigger than I ever had before. What I cared about was how I FELT. How sluggish I was. How impatient I was. How angry I was. How foggy my mind was. And those negative feelings, which led to a negative mindset and life are what drove me to change. Though it would’ve been nice if the weight melted off with breastfeeding, that still wouldn’t have left me feeling strong. Or empowered. Or like my body was taken care of and nurtured and fueled. Your desire to BE better, FEEL better, CHANGE. Has to outweigh your desire to remain the same. As a mama, I loved my postpartum body. I didn’t NEED to change it. What I needed to change was my mind. My mental health. And it just so happens that spending a little time sweating it out everyday has helped me do so.

Yes, I was a Network Marketing HATER! It bothered me when people said "I get to do this amazing thing because of my Side Hustle and the money I make from it". 🙄 #honest But now, NOW I get it. I feel bad for thinking those thoughts because I'm in that boat. I'm the one who gets to put all this cash towards vacations, I can shop online boutiques without feeling guilty or just putting it on a credit card, I'm the one who's successful in a Side Hustle and proud of it. (I'm kinda a queen of side hustles. Even when working full time in the corporate world I still waitressed at 2 places and have been for years, I walk the runway in wedding dresses and freelance bartend events!). I just LOVE this saying in the below picture 👇 If Network Marketing isn't for you, cool! It's definitely not for everyone! #tb 40 weeks in and 3 weeks out 👶🏽🧡 I am still amazed every day on how we women are able to carry a human inside of our body for nine freaking months and then push it out of our hohaa, it’s pretty crazy if you ask me. So why should we be ashamed of how our body looks after? It has done a hell of a job during those 9 months. I’m one of the «lucky» one who didn’t gain much weight and bounced right back only a week after birth. But you know what? That was never my goal, I actually hoped that some extra kilos would stick around because I have always heard «you are too skinny», «you should eat more», «It’s not beautiful looking like a sceleton».. Well guess what, it hurts just as much for me as if you call a plussize person «fat» or say «should you really eat that?». But it seems often to me like bodyshaming is totally OK to thin people because that’s how «everyone» want’s to look like. First time I posted this collage, I actually got a lot of hateful comments on my postpartum body. I’m TOTALLY aware that my experience is not what most of other women has, but it’s still not OK to bodyshame either way. We all have our own battles in the everyday life, and you never know what a person would take as a harmful sentence.. Respect that we all are different, beautiful and equaly worthy 🧡 #postpartum . I didn’t make it to the gym today but it is TOO nice to not get a little sweat on 😅💪🏽🌤 • Here’s a little circuit I did this afternoon with my cute sidekick before her nap time. Just enough to get the heart rate up and feel my muscles burn a little. (All videos sped up x2) • Chair dips x 10 • Air squats x 10 • Chair plank shoulder taps and March x 10 • Elevated bridges x 10 • Repeat 5 rounds • These exercises are postpartum and prenatal safe, with conscious effort on breath and core engagement • Give it a try! 😁

Just out here living our best life. We spent the morning outside enjoying the sunshine and now I hustle while both babes are napping. Emails are going out, ladies getting added into my May Bootcamp and a coaching sneak peek being planned with my team! Lots of fun things in the coming weeks! Some days are easier to balance than others, but I wouldn’t miss the chance to watch these two grow up for anything. 💕

I made a huge decision recently: . I resigned from my position as a flex staff with the company where I fell in love with individuals with developmental disabilities 💜 . I met my husband through this organization 👩‍❤️‍👨 Learned how to cook there through serving the individuals👩‍🍳 Experienced first hand CPR and other first aid situations 🏥 Met lifelong friends there👭 Even experienced being in management position 😬 . And soooooo many other lifelong lessons!! . After my 3rd baby, I dropped down from full time to flex, allowing me to be home more with the kids. It's an awesome opportunity they provide there! But since baby #4 and moving farther away, it's become harder and harder to get to the job and hubby has made it clear that he cannot be left with #babypeep on his time off, for too long, because she just refuses the bottle.😥 . It has NEVER been the right time to work less for us💯 (Hi.....have kids??) . But having my online coaching business deposit money into my account every week had my husband saying 'We will be just fine, babe! You get paid way more from coaching.' 💲 . I'm always available to chat more about joining my team 🤗 . . Now....... I need to find another excuse to get out of the house now! 🏃‍♀️ . So throw all ideas at me, because THIS is where I'm at 90% of the time🐄 (And I got paid today 🙌) . . #sahmlife #wahmlife #breastfeeding #breastfedbaby #8monthspp #normalizebreastfeeding #postpartumbody #postpartumbelly #momof4

I hope my face accurately depicts my feelings on 4 am workouts. It is NOT easy to workout every day, it’s even harder to do it at 4 am. - 🎉🎉I became a coach because I know the value of what I’m doing because of how much my mood and my body (feeling not just looking) has changed. - - Honestly, I expected not to make an income with coaching. Yeah those businesses that everyone “runs” and says is awesome. Yeah great for you and your pyramid scheme. Have fun with that. (Is what I told myself) - - I based that on nothing. I didn’t research, I just thought it was a scam. Then I started to research. And I researched the heck out of it! On every marking company I knew of - oils, cleaning, workouts, diets and make up companies. Some great some not so great. Wanna know what I found... I couldn’t do something I didn’t 10000% believe in. - - At some point you have to close google and just do. So I did, I tried the workouts, I drank the shakes, I really did it 100% all in. I loved it. I loved the women who were supporting me. That’s when I knew I couldn’t keep my mouth shut any longer. - - New Year’s Eve 2017 I signed up as a coach and haven’t looked back once. Hands down one of my greatest decisions. I didn’t expect to make any money, but then I did, because I work for it. Yes, I work. I work as a coach, I don’t just post to social media. I make an income. I love, I LOVE what I do. #takeachance #makeachange #beBOLD

How many times have you started a “challenge” or a diet? How many times have you looked at a food and said “Oh, I can’t eat that... that food is bad...” Or maybe you ate something and immediately regretted it and felt the need to self loathe. How many times have you deprived yourself? How many times have you punished yourself with exercise and restrictions? How many times have you gone to bed and cried because you felt like you “over did it with eating” that day? How many times have you binged to the point of feeling sick? I’ve done it. I’ve done all of the above. I did all of the above and was at my all time lowest weight. People would come up to me and congratulate me for my weight loss. “Wow you look amazing!” or “Oh my gosh you’re so skinny!” Inside I was dead. I was tired. I was sick. Mentally and physically drained. It was until I came across @thebirdspapaya that I started to see the world in a different light. To see MYSELF in a different light. I started exercising because it made me feel good. I started listening to my body; to my SOUL. And feeding it with what it wanted. I stopped weighing myself and taking measurements and comparing my progress pictures side by side on the daily. Healthy doesn’t mean skinny. Eating right doesn’t equate to dieting and restrictions. Loving yourself as is doesn’t mean accepting obesity. Fuel your body, heart and mind with the good stuff. And the rest will follow ❤️ . . . #healthisnotasize

The time is going to pass whether you want it to or not. A year ago I was a new mom AGAIN to baby #4 & my biggest hurdle was not finding something to work, because I found something that has worked TWO times before! My struggle was going to be fitting into our new routine as a family of 6....but I did! My job as a coach is not to let the obstacles limit me but find ways to overcome them and help my clients do the same. I grabbed a nutrition program to lay it out for me, found a workout regimen that allowed 3 days of rest (aka allowed flexibility!) and a group of women to do this WITH ME! The time is going to pass, the only thing that’s holding you back is YOURSELF and the limiting beliefs you are telling yourself. ✌🏻 May Nutrition Workshops are open & I am ready to mentor you and teach you how i have overcome the obstacles in my way and make this an lifestyle that can also provide an income for our family! 🥰 Check the BIO for applications and I’ll message you today to help you choose your perfect path! 😘

One of the biggest struggles about making healthy changes is that is can be super overwhelming. Like you want me to just change my cabinets, grocery list, and what my tastebuds like all in one day??? No. Start small. Start with breakfast. If you normally don’t eat, grab a muffin at DD, drink an iced coffee extra extra with no food, crush a pop tart, etc... change ONE thing. Change your breakfast. Start the day clean. It sets the tone for the day. And if you don’t have time, prep easy things ahead of time. Here are some of my personal breakfast options: 1. 1 slice of Ezekiel toast with PB & Banana 2. 1/2 of Ezekiel English Muffin with PB & 2 eggs (however you like) - you can toss in greens here too! 3. 1/2 cup of organic oatmeal with a scoop of protein (this is super easy too and tastes great with yummy tasting protein). You can add berries too. 4. Rice cakes topped with PB and 2 hard boiled eggs 5. Protein smoothie with berries & greens. For right now, ain’t NOBODY got time for preparing breakfast so I’m sticking to the hard boiled eggs & rice cakes! #fitmomsofig #fitmom #postpartumbody #postpartumfitness #postpartum #postpartumfitnessjourney #postpartumbelly #postpardumweightloss #fitmoms #fitmomsofinstagram #fitmamalife #newmommy #newmomlife #fitmamas #fitmomgoals
