What story are you telling yourself today? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Is it “great, didn’t wake up on time today and hit the snooze button 4 times. My day is ruined.” Or “ I have so much to do, so little time, I’ll never get any of it done.” Or even “I can never be satisfied with my life because of the way my world is set up”? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Friends, these are ANT’S in your head. Yup. I said it. 🐜 🐜 🐜 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ An ant is an Automatic Negative Thought and they’re stealing your happiness, gratitude and abundance right from under your nose. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When we can’t recognize or stop these ANTS—i.e. not believing in yourself, overgeneralizing, all or nothing mentality—you’re creating these pathways in your brain (which could have been there since you were a kid & you didn’t know) that keep you in a box. They stop you from moving forward. They start as small stream-like pathways and before you know it, you’ve got the Grand Canyon of limiting beliefs in your head. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Great, Danni. I have a Grand Canyon of false beliefs I tell myself everyday. Now what do I do?? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Well friend, it’s simple. Not easy, but simple. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Breathe. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Tell yourself it’s just a pattern. Talk to yourself with so much love—however much love and gratitude you could possibly have in that moment. And if it’s not that much in your mind, that’s ok. We aren’t meant to have the perfect system down in the first try. It’s a PRACTICE. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Practice focusing on your breath. Practice combatting those ANTS with something positive, believable and inspiring to you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The choices you make in a single second can change your entire world. Choosing to care for my body, listen to it, love it, heal it, GROW my mind and body everyday is PRACTICE. Sometimes it’s hard. Sometimes I feel like I’m in a dark room with no windows or doors. Just know this; ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In order to change the ANTS in your mind, you have to change the story you’re telling yourself. Believe in it. Believe it to be true.
