Remember progress is not solely measured by the number on the scale! In fact, the scales do not take a lot into account. Firstly, how do you feel? Physically and mentally? Are you improving your fitness, strength and/or flexibility? How do your clothes fit? Do you have photos you can compare? (highly recommend taking photos regularly for this reason) Are you taking measurements regularly? Don't focus on the bathroom scales!

What I don’t want is for those who don’t know me in person to have a misconception of what my body actually looks like as a SHW Powerlifter and mother. 2007 vs 2019....yes these photos are twelve years apart.....which do I like better? Both, because both these women have always strived to be their best....between 2007 and now I have been broken so many times, there were times I thought I'd never get back up but I did and I do.....I have always coped flack about how I look after myself, I even remember being scolded by the midwife before I had my son about how little time I'd have for myself....I call it bullshit! We make time for what we think is important that is the truth, we have time it's how we choose to use it that makes all the difference....whilst chaotic at times I always find time to get ready in the morning, even if it means getting up a bit earlier, always some makeup, skin care and hair done....this hasnt and will never change....when it comes to my health and well being I will always find the time....ladies it's not selfish its self care, your kids will not starve or die if you take some time in the day for yourself, they are watching you always and trust me they want their mumma happy and healthy.....10 weeks out till I hit the stage and after a shitty couple of weeks I am back into it smashing life as I #icompeteaustralia #icnsouthaustralia #fitmum #mumswholift #fitfam #benefitcosmetics (best brow stuff ever)

POWER UP 💪🏻 . Ok, the summer holidays are literally biting at our ankles and a few of you won’t have as much spare time for a long in-depth workout . So let’s power it up! Here’s a beaut little circuit to get your heart rate up and get you sweating! . Complete 3 full rounds, each exercise for 30 seconds with a 15 second break between each one. Once you have completed a full round, have a 1 minute break then straight back to it! . 1. Battle Ropes - when the timer starts counting down from 5 seconds try get as many slams in before the buzzer goes . 2. Kettlebell Swings - to increase intensity go heavy or do 5 reps either hand & keep swapping for the full 30 seconds . 3. Burpee + Push Up . 4. Plate front raise with overhead tricep extension . 5. Back Lunge + Plate shoulder press - you can increase intensity by going heavier, or by using two kettlebells or dumbbells . 6. Straight Leg Deadlift + Upright Row .
