Habe zum Aufwärmen 2 x 1 kg und für die Übungen 2 x 5 kg benutzt. Hab immer noch Muskelkater im Bizeps von vorgestern und das hab ich dementsprechend natürlich auch beim Training gespürt 🤪 Egal, wer schön (und vor allem gesund!) sein will, muss leiden, denn von nix kommt ja nix! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, hopp hopp! I love challenges like Fast & Furious to get you out of a training funk & give a little extra motivation. But sadly, not many people progress from there. 🤷🏽‍♀️ . After the challenge is over, they hop on a different challenge/cleanse/kickstart, or worse, drop off exercise completely. Challenges are great, but they’re typically “random acts of exercise”. Basically meaning they’re hard workouts, you get sweaty, and you feel like your heart may just beat out of your chest, but there’s no logical progression to these workouts. It's a good way to kickstart your fitness as a super low barrier to entry, but you still need “progressive overload” in order to see progress. That means either more weight, more reps, less rest between sets, or better technique. . ➡️If there’s no measurable way to measure this progress, how do you even know if what you’re doing is actually working? Now, I’m not villainizing metcons by any means- I love them! But these workouts are more like the icing on the cake. 🎂 They're fast & don’t take a lot of time or thought. In order to see progress, however, you need the meat & potatoes of strength training.🥔🍖😬 . Although strength training isn't as glamorous or marketable, it’s ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY when it comes to physique change. Besides, you can only push as hard as your strength level in metcons… if your pushing light weights for high reps you’re not going to have the same effect as moving HEAVIER weights. 🏋🏽‍♀️ And that requires a solid strength foundation.
