At any moment our family will officially grow and we will be parents to four kids 5 & under (Brooklyn will be six in June). One of my goals with this platform is to be transparent, motivating and helpful as I journey through motherhood. It’s something I have felt called to and slowly over the last 3 years have stepped more out of my comfort zone to do. God calls the imperfect to his fulfill his will. Man oh Man... . My pregnancy 🤰🏻 has been super straightforward & simple... until last week! . I had a preeclampsia scare.. my 112/62 blood pressure spiked for multiple days landing me in Labor & Delivery for monitoring on Thursday before my long awaited & highly publicized presentation to the City Commission. . Luckily, I was released... presentation occurred & ironically enough my blood pressure went down - shocking I know 🤔🤣 . Apparently, being an auditor in a small town can be a bit stressful at points... & add on the fact you’re 9 months pregnant, who knew 🤷🏻‍♀️ . Anyhoo... we are back to normal - clothes don’t fit but enjoying the last couple weeks 🤞🏼 of pregnancy & counting down the days until baby girl 👧 makes her appearance!!

My initial thought for today was I wanted to compare my baby bump with my bump around the same time with my daughter as I had on the same dress. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I snapped this picture this morning to log my daily superfood in my accountability group and scrolling through pictures tonight (reminiscing on when I originally built our house) this was one of the first I saw. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Instead of comparing baby bumps I looked at myself and thought, wow. To think how far I have come from my first pregnancy until now. All that I have learned as a mom, a woman, and a coach. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My own personal postpartum journey was filled with so many struggles but because of having a plan, goals, and a group of BA women supporting me...I was able to feel more confident in my skin than I ever had before. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That is such a beautiful feeling. Embracing what I used to see as flaws, loving myself from the inside out, and genuinely being happy with my reflection in the mirror was more than I ever expected to happen from signing up to do at home workouts. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What is one thing you wish you could change about your mindset? Just look at these fries. Perfection. This plate right here, this is a reminder to me of why getting healthy on my own never worked out. I needed community and accountability of others! I needed to see their success to prove to my stubborn brain that I can do hard things! That I can have a life of health too! That I could finally lose the weight that I had tried to lose alone for so long! These are jicama fries baked in the oven and they HIT THE SPOT. But... I was inspired to make these versus driving down to Chick-fil-A because of I see my clients and our whole healthy community making healthy choices constantly - despite cravings, despite stress, despite feeling under the weather, despite PMSing, despite emotions. They persevere and it inspires me! “There’s this beautiful thing called imperfect progress... slow steps of progress wrapped in grace.” . . This is my #transformationtuesday❤️ #18weekspregnant. There is exactly one year between these two photos! A year and a few days from the day I started my first at home workout program. . . People can joke all they want shout at-home fitness but it saved my life in ways I would have never imagined. Not just physically, but emotionally as well. . . After completing my first round of 80 day obsession, I fell in love with the community.. the accountability... the simplicity...everything, honestly! . . There has been so much joy between these two photos and also so much hardship. Everyone told me after I had my first baby, getting pregnant again wouldn’t be an issue... well they were wrong. We struggled again. . . This time though, I felt so much more peace. I really tried to surrender all of the anger and frustration I had towards my body not being able to conceive on its on. I chose to embrace this path because it is the one that God has set before me. He could have changed it at any time but he didn’t. You can’t change Gods mind so you might as well just trust him! . . This past year I have found JOY in fitness and nutrition again. I have found that it is a gift, not a punishment. I get to squeeze in my workouts while Remi plays, sleeps, or crawls all over me. This is what works for us! . . Find what works for you and stick to it! Commit and make that change. Be proud of your journey and don’t you dare compare yourself to anyone else! Enjoy the process and let it inspire you! . . I love being a coach and sharing my journey with you because I believe in this. My progress pictures are going to start looking a lot different in the coming months 😉🤰🏻. When Chase and I got engaged I was nearly 50 pounds overweight for my height😓. It was never my goal to be a tiny bride but always my goal to be as healthy as I could before we became pregnant with our first baby. 65 pounds have been lost since January 2018 💪🏻. I’m not starting this pregnancy at the weight I had hoped but I’m celebrating my progress and this new chapter.
