Picky lunches are my fave kind of lunch! To be fair it would have been better if I had remembered to add the apple, and bought some pickles I will remember next time! So the ham and egg are free, the salad with added grapes are speed, the cheese is a HEA, I have 10g of salt and vinegar pringles for 2.5 syns and 1/2 a syn of 70% less fat salad cream. 💪Taking life one step at a time💪 Driving down the N11 today before we walked up the sugarloaf I was showing Harvey the mountain ⛰️ we were just about to climb. We will never make it to the top of that, it looks so high he said 🤔 (and it did look very high)😮 Sometimes when your starting out on your fitness journey, it may also look like a huge mountain to climb. But just keep thinking one step at a time. Over time all these little steps add up. Just remember to keep going 💪

FITNESS JOURNEY EXPECTATIONS by @grantgirsky - When embarking on your fitness journey, the path to the end is never as simple & straightforward as it may seem. - Just like a road trip: - It may take longer than you expect. - You're going to hit roadblocks and obstacles you weren't prepared for. - There's no quick short-cut to the end…you still have to travel the road yourself. - Remember…fitness is a journey, not a sprint (or even a marathon). - You need to be in this for the long-haul if you truly want to see lasting results. - You don't have to make a ton of changes all at once, only to eventually burn out & give up on all of them. - When first setting out, focus on small changes that add up over time…think momentum here. That's what's going to propel you to your end destination. - The key takeaway is that you are inevitably going to have setbacks, you just cannot let them stop you from continuing the journey. - Tag someone that needs to be reminded of this!

I’m still yet to figure out the ‘no carbs’ fad. “I can’t eat roti, because I’m on no carbs.” Or because “I’m following XYZ-Fuckall diet which guarantees weight-loss”. (Double LOL). ⁣ ⁣ My question to you is, where is your energy coming from ? And is depriving your body of essential nutrition (it’s 1/3 of the required macronutrients) to achieve a desired waistline or a number in a weighing scale more important than your brain & heart health and long term wellness ?⁣ ⁣ Carbs are⁣ 💥The main source of energy!⁣ 💥High in fibre➡️ keep you full for longer 🔜weightloss ⁣ 💥Help you burn fat (complex carbs) ⁣ ⁣ The only trick here is to feed yourself more on complex carbs (wheat, oats) this simple carbs (pasta ! ). They’re good for you and aid in your fat loss process. ⁣ ⁣ And that’s all folks. As simple as that. Let’s not fall for fad diets and make our essential body parts like brain and heart etc etc suffer to get down a few kilos (which perhaps would be water weight and very temporary). ⁣ ⁣ Have a healthy week ahead and eatttt your heart out but eat well. 🤩⁣

Hey everyone! Today is the most beautiful sunny day and we have just completed a 14k walk, 18,000 steps and over 1000 kcals burned! I love being out here in the mountains, hiking is honestly one of my favourite things in the world to do ☀️ . I’m in a very good place with my health and fitness at the moment. Over 2 stone down and I’m feeling more and more confident each day, able to wear whatever I want and getting compliments daily from people I don’t even know! We have one more week left here and then it’s back to uni to begin my masters 😱 it’s going to be an extremely busy year but I’m very much looking forward to seeing what the future holds 🥰 . Picked this little crop top up in primark for £2 last week - such a bargain 😛

And Monica’s interest in their progress is impassioned to the point that she has set up secret cameras following their every move.⁣ ⁣ Earlier at the office, Shirley consumes her afternoon snack of almonds and dried mango in belief that she has made a positive choice for her goal. ⁣ ⁣ Meanwhile, without thought, Janet decides to consume 2 party ring biscuits (because it’s a colleagues birthday). She immediately realises her carelessness and consumes two more as self-punishment for forfeiting her anti-junk food promise. ⁣ ⁣ Then, on this sticky August evening, Janet, irritated by her party ring faux pas, is driving home. At a set of traffic lights she sees a McDonald’s emerge in the distance. Full of self loathing, Janet unleashes the wrath of her 1.2L 8v Citroen Saxo and barbarously ‘throttles the fucker to the golden arches of hell.’ She orders a Big Mac and consumes it ferociously. In her mind she has now well and truly ravaged her anti-junk food diet. So naturally, she decides to purchase and horse down a Milky Way. And then another. ⁣ ⁣ All the while Shirley meditates to Tom Jones in deep satisfaction about her ‘good’ afternoon snack. Janet contrastingly, sits at her kitchen table staring into the torturous abyss that is a glass of celery juice, in full belief that she endured a calamitous day nutritionally. ⁣ ⁣ Monica’s new found education in nutrition draws conclusions that consumption of nutrients are beneficial for long term health. But that calorie balance directly determines one’s body composition.
