Recipe . 🍫 1/2 cup peanut butter 🍫 1/3 cup coconut oil 🍫 1/3 cup cacao 🍫 1 scoop Choc protein powder 🍫 1/4 cup maple syrup 🍫 1/8 tsp salt 🍫 1 tsp vanilla extract 🍫 optional - 15g crushed walnuts . 1️⃣ Add all ingredients exept walnuts into a bowl and mix until combined. 2️⃣ Pour into a loaf tin and sprinkle with crushed walnuts. Place in the freezer 3️⃣ Once set, cut into 16 pieces. Keep in the fridge. . I know what it feels like to not fit into your clothes, to struggle with balance, to continue to gain weight or not lose despite the efforts, to be uncomfortable where you are. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ My third Postpartum Journey ❤️, it’s been a journey for sure. It’s keeping me humble, reminding me to be kind and showing me how committed I can be and sometimes not be. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I want to start by saying that every postpartum journey looks different. Just like every pregnancy is unique. Each of my 3 pregnancies, recoveries and nursing journeys has been soooo different.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ My recovery this time has been a lot harder. Even though I felt wiser and most confident that I’d bounce right back, I got so close and then battled health issues for nearly a year and I have felt like I have started completely over after just being shy of a few pounds of pre baby weight a year ago. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ My hope in sharing my pregnancy, nursing postpartum journey as well as my fitness and nutrition efforts is to help bring awareness to the benefits of fitness as well as the importance of postpartum recovery. Also, I hope to help alleviate any fears of staying active during pregnancy and help support moms through their own unique journey's. Each journey is different but it comes down to the start, the grace, the grit, the self care and the never give up, keep going...everyday that it takes attitude.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Our bodies go through so much during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum. Trust me, I really wish I knew what I know now during my first pregnancy! It’s such a beautiful experience, to bring these Littles who look up to us into this world, and I’m proud to show these 3 how to work hard and not give up. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Once postpartum, always postpartum. Transformation Tuesday, is not a final destination, it just a reflection of the progress from point to point. The journey takes a start, but there is no end, you keep going...EVERY DAY that it takes. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So if you know how it feels to feel stuck, uncomfortable, ready to take care of you from the inside out because they and you deserve you at your best...know I have been there too and probably a lot closer than you’d think. ⁣⁣💜 Just keep going!

I actually don’t like it hot. In fact I’m not a fan of temperatures over 93 or spicy food. 🤷🏼‍♀️ . . The temperature thing is because I spent many years in Arizona, including summer. 🥵 I played golf in high school and during summer months we would have to start tournaments at 5am.. like that was the tee time!?! And while that’s for sure NOT the worst thing that can happen to a teenager.. I had too many heat strokes and sunburns to keep track of. I don’t think Scandinavians were meant to be tan or live in the desert!?! . . The spicy thing is due to several years ago I, all of the sudden, became allergic to things like jalapeños/tomatoes/onions/etc. the allergy went away after a 2 year “cleanse” and since I could never really handle the spicy foods I just decided to order other things 😉. . . Speaking of heat.. today was 🔥 week 3 day 2 ✅ lots of leg curls in supersets!?! A couple weeks ago I posted about learning to accept and love my body the way that it was. I talked about how much of a struggle it was for me, how it took years and how people in my life didn’t exactly support me. One of the messages I got in response was something to the effect of “it’s easy to feel that way since you have the perfect body. You don’t have anything to feel insecure about.” It’s funny because I used to think that too. I used to think once I had abs, once my thighs were smaller, once I didn’t have cellulite, once I jiggled a little bit less - THEN I’d be happy. Sadly that couldn’t have been farther from the truth. If being slim, fit, tan, and beautiful was the only prerequisite for self-love, so many of my absolutely STUNNING friends wouldn’t be suffering from low-self esteem, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, etc. But they are. WE are. This is exactly why I have moved away from focusing on aesthetic goals. This is why I think everyone could benefit from goals not at all related to your appearance. Because when I finally saw my abs, nothing really changed inside me. When my legs got more toned, I didn’t suddenly feel complete. None of the things I thought were going to happen happened. But when I did my first pull-up, my first plyo-pushup, when I realized I was close to benching my bodyweight - I felt legitimately happy. Not because I was strong - but because I was able to do something I hadn’t before, because I had committed myself to something that was important to me and difficult and I worked hard and so it meant something to me. It sounds kind of weird but these accomplishments are almost symbolic. They remind me of my life - all the experiences that could have destroyed me but didn’t because I wouldn’t let them. I think of all the times I thought I couldn’t get back up but I did, all the times I wanted to quit everything, but I resolved to keep going. 💪 That’s where my self-love comes from, that’s where my confidence comes from.
