Dessert nachos. I've been wanting to try this for the longest! But I'm always too full to fit it in at the end ๐Ÿ˜„ everything was extremely sweet, but oddly soooo delicious! #dessertnachos #bw3 #bdubz #pickyeatermke #milwaukeefood #icecream #dessert #sweettooth #foodblogger #mkefoodie #mkeblogger #midwestblogger

Shrimp mofongo. Pretty much fried plantains mashed up with garlic, salt, and a Caribbean sauce. Topped with a bit of pork rind. It was $18. It was okay. The flavors reminded me of potato chips. The portion wasn't very filling. More like an appetizer/snack. The place was packed! And the wait for a table was long. So I opted to sit at the bar. From personal experience, service is always amazing dining at the bar. But that wasn't the case here. My friend never received any water and no one ever checked in with us to see how things were going. The bartender was anxious to get our orders out of the way. Wait for food was also extremely long. They are a new business so I'm sure they are still working out some kinks. They have a lot of exotic dishes I want to try as well so I'm willing to give them another try. #mofongo #mke #mkeexplore #milwaukeefood #foodofinstagram #foodblogger #midwestblogger #pickyeatermke #mkeblogger #mkefoodie

If your looking for Korean bakery, this place is your closest option to Milwaukee! There aren't as many bakery or coffee options as similar places Ive visited during my travels, but they had enough options to keep me happy and help me not go overboard ๐Ÿ˜„ The green tea croissant and beef rib bread was to die for! The blueberry yogurt cake was amazing as well! I have yet to dig into the others! #touslesjours #pickyeatermke #koreanbakery #cake #bread #mkeexplore #mke #napervillefood #chicagofood #mkefoodie #mkeblogger #midwestblogger #sweettooth

LONG POST ๐Ÿ˜‚ I am not one to look forward to the holiday season. It tends to be a time of stress for me. I tend to overthink and focus too much on all the things I wish was different. Today I needed to go for a drive. I figured why not try Goddess and the Baker to get my mind off of things. It was quite the drive for me. But I've been wanting to try the place forever now. It was colorful, full of people and energy. I was hoping some of it will rub off on me. Lol. There was almost no seating available. I was lucky enough to find a spare chair off on the side. I had the chicken banh mi, acai berry bowl, and strawberry matcha latte. The bowl was delicious. No complaints there. The banh mi didn't taste authentic, not that I expected it to. The chicken was kinda dry but otherwise quite delicious. I was hoping the latte was going to look like the one I've been seeing all over ig (with the pink flakes) I felt like the strawberry over powered the matcha flavor. It reminded me of Hershey strawberry syrup from childhood. I wanted to try their regular coffee too. I didn't really feel energized from the latte. Ive also been curious about dark matters coffee! The line became insanely long at that point. I figured it was time to leave. No regrets coming to try the place out. I definitely wanna come back to try more on their menu! #goddessandthebaker #mke #mkeexplore #milwaukeefood #mkeblogger #mkefoodie #midwestblogger #pickyeatermke #matcha #acai #banhmi #myfab5 #coffeejunkie

I've been dying to try this place! I had the UB Poke Bowl. It was quite delicious and refreshing. I loved the textures and flavors of each individual ingredient. I just wish the portion was more filling ๐Ÿ˜ญ it wasn't as large as it appears in the photo. It was more like a snack/appetizer. It was my first meal of the day as well and I was still very hungry. I felt like the very hungry Caterpillar ๐Ÿ˜‚ maybe I should've chose something different. Aside from that, I am glad I gave it a shot. I would love to try more. The place is beautiful, bright/inviting, busy, and the staff was really friendly! #veganfood #mke #mkeexplore #milwaukeefood #myfab5 #foodofinstagram #foodblogger #mkefoodie #mkefood #mkeblogger #pickyeatermke #pokebowl

Look how jammed pack those cups are!! Sea salt caramel. Blueberry. Mango. ๐Ÿ˜‹ the sea salt was way too sweet for me. It shocked my taste buds. I really loved the blueberry and mango. The blueberry reminded me of Greek yogurt. The mango reminded me of Japanese hi-chew candy! Those seem to have a quarter of the sweetness the caramel had! #gelato #icecream #mke #mkeexplore #milwaukeefood #myfab5 #foodofinstagram #foodblogger #mkefoodie #mkeblogger #pickyeatermke #mke #sweettooth #dessert

Kani salad. Shredded crab, cucumber, spicy mayo, eel sauce, and masago. It pretty much tastes like sushi, but in shredded form ๐Ÿ˜† A family favorite. Can't remember what this was called. And I can't seem to find it online, but it was delicious!! Seafood was fresh. Broth was simple, comforting, not too salty. The noodles had a good bite to them. Soft yet chewy. Always a great experience here! #noodlesoup #mke #mkeexplore #milwaukeefood #myfab5 #foodofinstagram #foodblogger #mkefoodie #mkeblogger #pickyeatermke #japanesefood #seafood

Ive been wanting to try this place for quite some time! As always when trying a new Mexican place, I had to try the 'la parillada' It was okay. The flavors were quite bland. Leaning towards tex-mex. There was no pic de gallo served with this, so be sure to request for some lime. It helped bring out the flavors more and make everything seem more authentic. The protein by itself not wrapped into a taco was shockingly the dryest Ive ever had and it was barely seasoned. Aside from that, the staff was friendly. The place was clean and really pretty! And drinks were delicious. Their poloma was probably the tastiest I've ever had. Su Casa seems like a great place for a quick bite and to catch up with friends. But that's about it! If I want a good taco / Mexican fix, there's definitely better options to choose from else where. #parillada #mexicanfood #tacos #mkeexplore #mkefoodie #mke #mkeblogger #pickyeatermke #foodofinstagram #foodblogger #midwestblogger #mnfallsfood #milwaukeefood #mnfalls #menomoneefalls

If you must know, I feel Pho Viet has the best bun bo hue in the city! It's bursting with flavor, protein portion is really generous, and you can actually taste the lemon grass in it. I love when I'm able to get a crunch of it with a sip and bite! Everytime I've had it here, the quality has been consistent. I have yet to be disappointed. The pho is amazing and one of the best in the city as well! ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿคค I use to enjoy Pho Cali, but its always so inconsistent. Some days its good, others opposite. I'm iffy on returning there as well after the attention they received on social media. #pickyeatermke #mkefoodie #mke #mkeexplore #milwaukeefood #mkeblogger #myfab5 #midwestblogger #foodofinstagram #vietnamesefood #pho #bunbohue #bbh #noodles #noodlesoup

I haven't been to Phans Garden since they still allowed smoking ๐Ÿ˜‚ during those days I was easily impressed by everything I ate as well ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I totally forgot how it looked inside and how their food tasted! I've been meaning to go back to freshen my memory. But mostly to try their bun bo hue! I was so surprised by all the options on their menu. They offered Chinese and Vietnamese options which I do not recall at all. My foodie-in-crime and I started off with spring rolls. They were okay, but you could tell they were premade and sat around for too long. They were really cold and parts of the wrapping was hard. The pho broth was very beefy, a bit bland. I couldn't detect any of the traditional herbs you'd expect in pho. And there was nothing to season it with but hoisin and sriracha. The bbh wasnt bad, but I could tell that it was just pho broth with a paste added into it to make it taste like bbh. No blood cakes were in it. No traditional greens were given to garnish it. I alternated between the two dishes. As the meal went on, both begin to become tasteless. Both broths were so greasy, the extremely dry lips I walked in with were then very moisturized ๐Ÿ˜‚ (and they still are) I used two spoons while alternating between the two. One for each dish! And the oils/fats solidified on them as I went back and forth ๐Ÿ˜ฌ The pho did it more than the bbh did. The place appeared clean and the server was very kind. And it was fun strolling down memory lane. No regrets here. But I don't think I can go back again. #pickyeatermke #mkefoodie #mke #mkeexplore #milwaukeefood #mkeblogger #myfab5 #midwestblogger #foodofinstagram #vietnamesefood #pho #bunbohue #bbh #noodles #noodlesoup
