You are on the right path even though you don’t know where you are going... ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• For the last two years I have had a very clear plan and a deep understanding of where it is I am going; what it is I want to do. Yet, the road has been paved with so many twists and turns; so many unraveling’s and so many new road ways. I realized recently that I had been holding so tight to this plan on this certain timeline and well the timeline I may have been hoping for or wanting just isn’t reality. It is important to have goals and dreams and even deadlines in certain circumstances but grasping to a said timeline for our lives, creates expectation which often leads to disappointment. Life is a crazy mystery and things will happen when they are meant to. So, my mantra right now is this ☝️ You are on the right path even though you don’t know where you are going.... . •SOUND HEALING• is one of my absolute favorite modalities in the healing world. For years sound vibration, sound baths, and gong immersions, have been a large part of my healing journey. It is an amazing form of meditation that takes you on a journey and helps release blockages, moves energy throughout the body and for myself; is a deep form of emotional release. I just LOVE it! If you have the opportunity to explore this modality I highly reckoned it and if you are in San Diego, @johnleebeck is awesome! . . . . . . . . #soundhealing #soundvibration #healing #wellness #wholehealth #getwellsoonretreat

What you think and what you tell yourself is what will manifest. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• The thoughts we think most often and our self talk is so incredibly important. Take a moment, close your eyes, and start to breathe. Allow the breath to slow everything down and simply become aware of your thoughts. Are you thoughts more on the positive side, negative, anxious, or uncertain? When you talk to yourself are you kind or hard on yourself often putting yourself down and telling yourself you aren’t doing enough etc. . Our thoughts create our reality. Today is especially important to pay attention to this as we are in the 11/11 portal. This is an incredibly strong manifestation number so think positive! The power of intention is so important! What do you want your life to look like, what dreams and goals do you want to manifest? . Live today and everyday uplifting yourself, loving yourself and flooding the brain with thoughts that expand you. Everything starts in the mind. Our health starts in the mind... what we do, how we react, how we see the world... it all begins here so, why not make it beautiful!? 🌸 Plant the seed and watch it all blossom. . Use the power of the mind to raise your vibration; to raise your frequency today!✨✨✨ . . . #powerofthemind #manifest #11/11 #breathe #believe #receive #yoga #yogalife #planttheseed #blossom
I have a secret for you... You have the power heal yourself! . . It’s true! I have been witnessing this for myself over the past few months! I am not saying this work is done entirely on your own; not at all. . Since I was 8 my body has been flooded with antibiotics and chemotherapy which broke down my ability to function as a normal, healthy, human being. . A few years ago I dove deep into the healing world and continue to explore more natural and alternative ways to heal my physical body. It has been a process and a journey but the greatest piece of information I have gained is that healing the physical body begins with healing our mental and emotional bodies. Everything begins in our bodies due to stuck emotions and traumas as well as with our thoughts. Often our thought patterns have to do with past traumatic/emotional experiences or how we were brought up. Then, over time this causes breakdowns and issues in our physical body. . Back in April, I felt like I hit my rock bottom with my physical health. It had been a steady year of battling issues with my reproductive health as well as my gut health. I was exhausted when everything came crashing down as it did. I felt disappointed in myself and questioned what I was doing wrong. I had the awareness and was working on healing from the inside out. I was practicing and teaching yoga, meditation was a daily practice, journaling, mantras, affirmations, Kirtan/chanting, and sound healings. I explored plants for medicinal purposes, went to a temazcal ceremony, practiced ecstatic dance, went to a retreat where we dove deep into the Kriyas (purification processes) and even practiced them ourselves... so what was it that I wasn’t doing? After those initial thought and feelings though, I decided I had the power to heal myself and that has been my mantra now for the last 8 months. With consistency and adding to my healing practices; talk therapy, energy work, massage, acupuncture, herbs, and a strict diet (to heal my gut) as well as seeing a naturopathic doctor mixed in with some MD’s I am finding success; some incredible success. I feel like for the first time in my life I am truly healing all of my bodies!

In 2011 I bought a ticket to Bonaroo Music Festival not knowing anyone going other than my friend Dustin. Dustin and a group of friends decided that summer they were going to film a documentary call The Festifull Summer. They bought a bus, stripped it, made it livable and traveled from festival to festival across the U.S documenting their experiences. Dustin convinced me to buy the ticket and join the crew for some of the time. . Dustin and the crew picked me up in Nashville Tennessee. I was a bit nervous to say the least as I would be living on that bus with a bunch of strangers for a week or so... But turned out to be by far one of the most incredible experiences. We spent a night in Nashville then traveled to Bonaroo Festival the next day! . . This was my first actual music festival I was attending. I had been to many raves before but not a music festival like this. I could not have picked a better year to go, or a better way to experience not only Bonaroo but my first music festival. I quickly bonded with everyone on the bus as they were all such unique, beautiful, human beings and really got to learn what van life or bus life was like. I witnessed the bus breakdown, the generator go out, sleeping in small quarters in extremely hot heat and the daily living scenarios. I fully witnessed the ups and downs of living on a bus with 7 other people. . . We arrived at the festival on Thursday. In 4 days I saw some of my favorite legends play from Buffalo Springfield, to the Allman brothers, Robert Plant, Eyoto and so many more! I survived a bit of heat stroke... yep it was insanely hot and the air conditioning no longer worked but it was worth every minute. After Bonaroo was over we all headed out to Atlanta to see Phish play. . . What I experienced that week and the connections I made is really indescribable. It was like something out of a movie; something I dreamed of. I always felt I was born in the wrong era as I have always been so attracted to the 60’s and 70’s lifestyle of peace, and love but in that one week I felt like I got to live a small piece of it. Looking back on this experience, I can honestly say it was one of the BEST things I have ever done!
Our greatest journey is exploring the unknown wilderness within our soul. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• My connection to nature is long standing. There is something so special about being surrounded by trees, the mountains, wildflowers and the animals. There is a stillness; a softness there. It’s like as soon as I step into the forest I feel wrapped up and supported by her. The soft whispers from the trees bring insight, the solitude brings a sense of calm and ease and the fresh air allows me to breathe deeper connecting more and more with the true essence of myself. This is where I am able to come whenever I just need to reset, seek wisdom or reconnect. There is a natural wild within us all. Explore it! . . . . . . . #thewilderness #nature #myhappyplace #connectdeeper #seekwisdom #explore #thedepthsofyoursoul #grateful #theforestspeaks #wildwoman #earth #connection
The other night I started watching the series Living Undocumented which hit home for me. . In 2012 I got married. My husband was Brazilian and living here illegally. After 6 months we decided to start the green card process so he could legally work, get a drivers license, be able to travel back home to see his family and no longer live in state of fear and being trapped. We applied and did everything we were supposed to but when it came to the day of our interview everything went in a completely different direction than we thought it would. What should have been a quick interview process, turned into an 8 hour interview. We were separated and taken into different rooms because the immigration officer wanted to believe our marriage was fake (which was not the case at all). I sat in the room for 3 hours being harassed; told that if I didn’t tell the truth that our marriage was a fraud I would go to jail and he would be deported. I sat there with tears streaming down my face not even comprehending how things had shifted to this. After that day we waited for a month to receive the final answer about his green card application. The document stated that his green card was being denied and he was up for removal from the country. . Thousands of dollars later for lawyer fees and a year of fighting for our marriage, for his green card, gathering every document of evidence we possibly could he was finally given a 2 year provisional green card. We finally thought all of this was behind us but no. When his mother went to apply for a visa to visit us she was denied and told she could never come to the U.S because of the flag they placed on his documentation. His brother was also denied entry. When we went to reapply two years later we heard nothing for over a year and a half putting him right back to where he was to begin with; no work permit, no drivers license, not able to leave the country or travel; living in this place of waiting and being stuck. . . Since the new administration came into play so many stories like this continue and many cases are much worse. Families are being torn apart simply because they are living here undocumented and most often not by choice.

Give yourself permission to slow down. • The conversation about slowing down and meeting yourself where you are at has been a common theme in my training and also in my life. A couple weekends ago one of the teachers asked us to observe an area in our life where we are overcommitting ourselves. This last weekend another teacher asked us to observe where we can do less in our lives. The question of where can you do less sounded a little odd but completely resonated with me. It actually resonated with me more than anything has in awhile. • Our society is always telling us to give our 100% all the time, to do more, be more, strive to be the best... when often times we just need to slow down and observe where we are at and what we are capable of in each moment. • Some days giving 100% just isn’t possible and that’s OKAY. Sometimes what we really need is do a little less and give ourself the space to really support ourself. I really am speaking to myself right now because instead of pushing through and just continuing forward (which is what my mindset has been lately) I need to give myself the space to support my body. I need to nurture my body and my mind. I need to honor myself and traumas that are manifesting on a physical level. I need to slow down and give more back to myself because I have the power to heal myself! So this week my mantra is going to be slow down, nurture, honor, and support!
Current mood: Thinking about that cool mountain air, the enchanted forest and sweater weather... ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• If you know me, you know I am a warm weather, let’s live life in a bikini type person but I also am so deeply attracted to trees, mountains and forests. I also crave the cool weather once in awhile. It’s a nice change and I love snuggling up and listening to the rain. Of all places though this forest is by far my favorite.
