So on Saturday myself and my friend Charlotte were kindly invited to come and have a taster class in Barre at the @suffolk_womans_wellness_centre with the amazing Nina! Both Charlotte and I have danced for many years including ballet so thought we had a rough idea of what we were in for ...... well how wrong were we 🤣! Honestly never felt a quad and calf burn like it - more intense than squatting heavy at the gym but so so enjoyable! The class was only 25 minutes long but I was sweating and had proper leg shakes haha it was amazing! I will definitely be signing up when proper classes begin on May 13th - god knows how I’m going to manage 60 minutes though 😱 check out @suffolk_womans_wellness_centre for videos from our class and more details of the amazing classes they offer for all women whatever stage of life you’re in. Thank you for a great class Nina! P.S cupcakes aren’t a class regular 🤣 x

I haven’t posted a progress pic for ages so here it is at 9 months postpartum. I currently weigh 8 stone 7lbs (I’m 5’4’’) which is 2lbs off the lightest I’ve ever been but I have absolutely no muscle mass and been in a massive funk with my running 🤷🏻‍♀️. I think my diastatis has closed slightly more but will need a professional opinion to confirm - it still alters so much depending on my cycle etc which at times is very frustrating 😫 onwards and upwards to summer x

Today’s run with my Dad, the prom was busy with lots of people and dogs off lead so had to dodge a lot! Cardiovascular wise I feel where I expected to be not too bad but my legs feel so heavy and my pelvis and low back ache; it’s like it’s an effort to lift my knees 🤔 I’m assuming this is still hormones settling down and ligaments still loose any advise would be appreciated x

When you have always had chicken legs 🙄 need to grow me a booty and some quads again! I struggle to build muscle especially when I’m running as my arms start to resemble a t-Rex 🦖 But I honestly think although running is my passion nothing sculpts your body like lifting heavy 💪🏽 don’t be scared to get yourself in the ‘big boy’ area of the gym it’s for us girls too 🙌🏼 x

Chris and I managed to get to the gym today 🙌🏼 we ran the mile there then did an all over weights session and then jogged home! Felt home but so out of condition. Would really love to get to the gym more as I know that running alone is not going to change my body in the way I want! Wearing THE most comfortable gym wear ever from @maaree x

A week late but 34+ weeks old now as long out as they were in! I’m not sure I will ever really accept my body for how it looks now and part of me mourns my post baby body but I do respect what my body has been able to do and grow 4 healthy children which I will forever be thankful for especially after years of thinking we would never be lucky enough to have children! ✌🏼 x

I was standing looking in the mirror earlier moaning about my stomach as usual and Chris told me not to be so hard on myself and took a photo for me to see for myself! It’s no where near perfect or where I would like it to be but I’m getting there slowly 💪🏽 #perspective x

Hot Vimto! I get so cold after I’ve been for a run in the winter I just can’t ever seem to get warm so I like to have a hot Vimto so random but does the trick! Was really windy tonight and had to stop at the top of a steep hill 😫 but at least it’s done now for some Quorn and veggie green Thai curry x

7 months postpartum I feel like my core is slowly regaining strength and hopefully my diastasis continues to improve, I’m definitely feeling different physically and also mentally about how I look! The discolouration of my skin is lessening and my skin tone is improving but it will never be what it was before but I think I’ve decided that a tummy tuck is personally not for me! I don’t want to get rid of the skin in replace for a large scar and months more of recovery when I want to focus on my fitness and and getting my running back on track x

Today’s meals, there was so much chocolate and general rubbish left in the fridge and cupboards from Christmas that I put it all in a bag and asked my mum to take it to hers 🤣 no temptation then apart from some of Sullivan’s little treats! @triplet_dad_of_4 and I are doing dry January like most of the country but are also back on the wagon with limiting ourselves to one cheat night a week!
