Yesterday was a blessing! I had the honour to have four beautiful families come together in our home to celebrate our children’s religious sacrament and being surrounded by so much love and gratitude. The timing I thought could not have been worse where in fact it’s just what we needed. To come together again, be proud of each other’s strength and celebrate the beautiful families we will continue to grow and flourish. My house was transformed to fit almost 70 people and keeping it very simple and quiet we used easily accessible foliage. Lemon branches from Dad’s house (bless that tree) and the gorgeous Wattle from down the county road close by to my house! Lunch was kept simple so that we only required a fork and could eat standing up. Replace Panic with Love, and think your heart not your head and the answers will come! The day was a dream!
Maltese Fusion Cuisine! Flavours of Figs & Feta is creating amazing opportunities. Another inspiring call with one of the Co-Authors today working on his recipes, style and business plan! Super, super, super exciting to create a business for him incorporating his much loved heritage. I suggested a photoshoot in Malta, who agrees with me? . . . Thank you @maltadoors for a brilliant image capturing the streets of Malta.
An essential in Style! It’s the little changes you make in your life that give you what’s called Ego Boosters! I laughed with her and I cried with her and I called her Mum. I walked with her and I talked with her and I called her Mum. I cooked with her and I shared with and I called her Mum. And loved her more than she will ever know! Now I pray that she is dancing with her husband, the man she missed and longed for every single day! Thank you Mum for making me one of your own and with your son you helped me create my own beautiful family. Forever respected for your LOVE and endless COURAGE. Missing you so much already. Rest In Peace knowing you will be in our thoughts every single day. Love you Mum!
Moorish Mornings! A bowl filled with goodness topped with Greek Yoghurt, freshly chopped nuts, a dash of cinnamon and a little squeeze of maple! I particularly love this part of the day because I make it ME time. It’s me time because I think of what my body needs and deserves and I prepare the meal using my favourite utensils. The Planche’ Petite Board reminds me of how much talent each individual human possesses, my Beaded Collection Fruit Bowl which makes me HAPPY knowing I’m making so making families HAPPY and the delightful spoon for every mouthful fills me with gratitude!
Celebrations Success! Last night’s celebration was delightful. We started off with some Salted Peppered Ricotta with Olive Bread which we dipped in a beautiful Olive Oil, then Homemade Ricotta Gnocchi with a side of Garlic Bread then homemade Decadent Chocolate Cupcakes My by Indiah herself. The saving grace, having my favourite table transformed into a serving station. This kept the table and kitchen bench free to serve up! And then the little happy dance you have going on inside you when you been asked for a second serve...’because it was yummy!’
Spots! The perfect theme to celebrate my fun spirited beautiful daughter’s 17th Birthday! Reflecting back on the day it was important to me to share the experience with those close to my heart and that I did. Indiah was blessed to be loved by so many in her first moments of life even though it was 11:55pm. A moment I will forever cherish, as with the beautiful chat I had with her alone letting her know that I will be the best mother I could ever be and will always make her proud to call me her Mumma.
